Deburing

Burrs are a result of practically any type of metal processing: casting, stamping, sawing, machining, etc. The shape and strength of burrs can vary significantly. Mass vibratory finishing is the process most often used for deburring components. This process utilises a vibratory bowl or trough. Air blasting or wheel blasting processes can also be used for deburring light or weak burrs. Sometimes due to burrs being particularly stronger, components may require high energy mass vibratory finishing processes such as centrifugal disc, centrifugal barrel or even drag finishing.
